Super Savings Saturday

Boy, I haven't done one of these in awhile. But I got to thinking that seeing others get deals like this inspires me, so why not return the favor?

I went in to Rite Aid this week and picked up:

2 Huggies Jumbo Pack diapers, $8.99 each

1 Huggies Pull-Ups, $8.99

2 Kotex pads, $3.50 each

Oh, and a bag of Cheetos because my girls were being so good. Add in another 89 cents because I get 10% off non-sale merchandise with my wellness+ card. I love that little perk.

Total before coupons: $34.86 plus tax

I was rushing to find coupons because my coupon stash is a bit disorganized at the moment. I tried to print a coupon for the Pull-Ups ($1 or $2) but I couldn't get it to work. I also forgot to get a coupon for the Kotex, which I'm sure I had. But the time wasn't worth the extra $2 or $3 bucks I would have saved since my kids were going crazy while I looked for coupons!

I did have a coupon for a free Jumbo pack of Huggies diapers from their Enjoy the Ride Rewards. Subtract $8.99 for that. Then I had a $5 off a Jumbo pack of Huggies diapers from Recycle Bank.

-$13.99 for the above coupons

-$2 video values Huggies coupon

-$5/25 coupon

Total: $15.10

I paid with $15 in giftcards I received from the skincare rebate at Rite Aid this summer, so I spent 10 cents out of pocket.

And I got $9 in +Up Rewards (3 $2 from Huggies and 1 $3 from Kotex).

Plus, I will get a $10 giftcard for the Kimberly-Clark rebate since I spent more than $25 on K-C products.

Even with the Cheetos, it's a $4.10 moneymaker!

Friday and Saturday only (02/06 and 02/07) use this coupon to get $5 off your purchase of $20 or more at Rite Aid. Nice!

Free Electrasol (again), cheap Huggies and Kashi bars

Rite Aid:

• The Huggies deal I mentioned earlier. Make it sweeter with a $5 off $25 coupon here (coupon good through March so save it for another purchase if you already bought your Huggies).
• Electrasol free after rebate and $2.50 coupon from 01/04 coupon inserts.

Target

• Kashi cereal bars (which are much better for you than Nutri-Grain and still tasty) are on sale for 3/$8. Use $2 off printables here to get a box for $0.67!

Safeway

• Buy 5 Tree Top apple juice and get them for $1.50 each. I haven't been able to find any coupons for that, but it's a dang good price. (ends today)
• 3 lbs. fuji apples for $1.49 with super coupon from store ad. (ends today)

Cash back for Huggies

Earlier this week I sent in my form to Caregiver's Marketplace, an organization that reimburses caregivers (of the elderly or children) for some of the items they purchase most. Funding for these reimbursements is supplied by the manufacturer's of the products.

I had receipts for 10 packages of Huggies diapers (a few were for the Overnites diapers). At $1 per package, I expect to receive a check for $10 in the mail in the next few weeks. I wish I had known about this when my twins were newborns and we were blowing through boxes of diapers faster than you could bat an eyelash! I only found out about it a few months ago, thus my small amount of receipts. Also, I had been buying the bigger boxes and only certain sizes qualify for the reimbursement.

Huggies is on the list of products to be reimbursed this year, however they have lowered the price to $0.75 per package. Hey, that's still money in your pocket, right? I have an envelope in my desk labeled "Caregiver's Marketplace" and when I buy a package of Huggies (or anything elese on the list) I put the receipt in there. When you have 5 or more items to be reimbursed, you can send in a reimbursement form. I saved mine up until the end of the year so I would get a bigger check.

Just a heads up: next week, Huggies diapers and wipes will be on sale at Rite Aid. Purchase $25 worth of Kimberly-Clark products (includes Huggies) and get a $10 Rite Aid gift card (rebate #48). You can actually double dip on this one because there is a $2 rebate for the diapers (#29) and $2 rebate when you buy 2 Huggies wipes, baby wash, or washcloths (#30). Then save your receipt for the diapers for your Caregivers Marketplace cash back.

Free Electrasol and cheap Chubby Hubby

I went in to Walgreen's today and got the 20 pack of Electrasol dishwashing tabs. These are on sale for $3.49 and there's a $1.50 Easy Saver Rebate. Combined with the $2.50 coupon from this weekend's SmartSource and you get 50 cents back in your pocket for that Electrasol! Also at Walgreen's, Ben & Jerry's pints of ice cream are 2/$7. I used my $3 coupon that I printed last week and got some Chubby Hubby (my favorite!) for 50 cents. Finally, I almost missed the in-ad coupon that had Mott's apple juice (64oz.) for $1.79 each. I couldn't find a coupon to combine with this, but it was a great deal in and of itself.

My second stop was Rite Aid to get the 10 Soy Joy bars for $5. I used my $3/10 coupon from this weekend's paper and will get a $5 rebate through Rite Aid. I made $3 on that transaction!

I got the Val-pack coupon mailer in the mail today. I always sort through the stack of coupons, though I rarely find one to use. Imagine my surprise when I saw one for Rite Aid! Yes, there are 8 coupons:
